Towels to the rescue

By Ranger Staff on August 19, 2010

KanDee Childers with Operation Homefront-Washington presented 2,000 high-quality bath towels to the 4th Stryker Brigade Wednesday at the Ranger newspaper office in Lakewood.  The donation is part of AUSA-Meriwether Lewis Chapter's efforts to support returning single soldiers from the war zones with the comforts of home.  Operation Homefront-Wa donated over $5,500 in towels to support the 4th Brigade which begins making its return to Joint Base Lewis-McChord soon.  The 4th Strykers are the last combat unit to patrol Iraq before the August 31 deadline set by President Barrack Obama to have all combat units cease combat operations there.  Pictured are KanDee Childers, Lois Childers, 10, Willough Childers, 7, Katie Irwin, 6, Spc.
