Madigan Healthcare System officially opened its new Traumatic Brain Injury Program facility with a ceremony May 27.

The modernized TBI clinic features wider hallways and well-lit spaces, as well as multiple waiting rooms to include one specifically designed for families.

Additionally, multiple computers expedite filling out assessments, and a separate testing room provides soldiers with a private environment to take neuropsychological test batteries. Furnishings in the new location are simple, designed with the patient in mind, especially regarding common post-concussive symptoms.

With the opening of the new facility, Madigan strengthens its commitment to provide high-quality clinical assessment and care for service members who have sustained a TBI, as well as improves its ability to offer educational programs and conduct clinical research.
