Additional C-17 to depart in support of Hurricane Sandy relief efforts

A McChord Field C-17 Globemaster III and crew is scheduled to depart at approximately 9 p.m., Nov. 1 in support of continued Hurricane Sandy response operations.

McChord Field Airmen will be flying to March Air Reserve Base, Calif., to pick-up passengers, equipment and supplies supporting relief efforts on the East Coast.

The passengers and cargo are slated to arrive at Stewart Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, N.Y. after which they will move out to support efforts to restore power and provide humanitarian assistance.
