No stranger to the Pacific Northwest music scene, Jonny Smokes has been a major artist in the state of Washington for many years now. From his early days fronting such cover bands as X35, Kameleon, and The Smoking Lounge, Jonny Smokes has commanded audiences to dance and drink themselves silly as he has rocked out with tremendous energy and skill. During these early years, he was also well known as an acoustic solo artist in the Seattle/Tacoma music scene, playing a wide range of popular rock songs from classics to alternative, metal to hip hop, all with a unique style and solid delivery. His current involvement includes three major regional tribute bands: Jar Of Flies - Alice In Chains tribute, Astro-Creep - White Zombie tribute, & Outshined - Soundgarden tribute. Jonny Smokes is also a touring guitarist with the solo project band for Warrel Dane, (frontman of Nevermore & Sanctuary.) As if this isn't enough to overwhelm an audience, Jonny Smokes continues to perform as a solo act, although the days of one acoustic guitar and a mic are long gone. Now when you see a show by Jonny, you will witness an amazing display of technical ability and multi instrumental prowess as he plays and records guitars, basses, keyboards, drums and even harmony vocals, all in real time with a loop sampler. The showmanship itself is impressive, but the end result is sonically amazing, with full band orchestrations quickly evolving right before your eyes and ears. His mastery of each piece of the song is apparent, and the sheer variety of music styles and voices is nothing short of amazing.
