Biography

Halcion Halo is alternative rock group from Tacoma, WA.
Originally formed in '2007 between Aaron Price and Jenson Charnell; Halcion was the next step in a decade evolution the two characters had spent developing and honing their style and tone. With backgrounds in groups going from 1998, the pair have built industrial, progressive and straight forward metal arrangements over the years and out of the powerhouse groups they have put together have played nearly every stage the northwest has to offer.
From '99 to '2003 the pair played stage left and stage right for the progressive new metal group called "Subject" from bar to bar to bar opening for major and minor acts alike side by side with some of Washington's greatest talents the years had to offer. '2004 saw a change in the duo's tone and style as they progressed into another direction building the group "if:then" and bringing their even more technical and advanced playing and writing styling to the stage but this time with Jenson on drums.
'2006 Jenson and Aaron rejoined with former Subject drummer "Ira Garrett" for an experimental noise/industrial/metal project entitled "Happy Dappy." HD allowed the trio to express wildly and explosively the anger that had erupted from life changes and at home troubles with divorce and other issues. The emotional roll-a-coaster that consumed all creative thinking was brought to life in a destructive way that only had one outcome from the other end of a very distorted bass rig, super heavy drums, screaming poetic lyrics and expanding ever evolving guitar riffs.
When the ash finally found it's way to the ground and the last leaf had come to rest, the trio found themselves in '2007 with a new set of music and a new way to present it. This time the group reemerged from the cold band rooms of the 253 adopting the name Halcion Halo, switching Aaron to bass guitar, and Jenson back to guitar. Throughout '2007 the three old dogs performed all over Washington, but eventually life would catch up with the group forcing them to take some time off to focus on new developments in their individual life's. The E.P. that was recorded in '2007 entitled "Flames" was never widely released, but made available for free download online only. Over the next couple of years, Jenson spent his time performing the music and newer songs written for the same project live at random in the Northwest, and finally in '2010, with a call from Aaron to bring it back together with a new pair of members Eric Morlen on bass and Kurt Schaumann on drums; the band rebuilt the arrangement of Aaron and Jenson as dueling guitarist.
'2012 Kurt Shaumann left the group to pursue another project.
Ira Garret rejoined the group and the band have been writing and recording with the occasional local show.
