K-Dueskie and Snake (Jorge Burns) are long time supporters of local hip hop music in Tacoma, WA and participants in the local music scene since the mid-1990s. Coming from a tight knit crew, they made music in some form or fashion until establishing a group called Organik Produce in 2000. Forming a trio with local producer Truss One, they put out an EP called "Farmer's Market" (available for free at organikproduce.bandcamp.com). Organik Produce made some splashes in the Puget Sound scene before disbanding but K-Dueskie and Snake kept making music together throughout. The duo has worked with the likes of Sonny Bonoho, MG the Visionary, DSD1, DJ Bitz N Pieces, the Rebelz, Ra Scion, Big Loon, DiggyBiggz, Bob Slicce, Genocide, Sean T, Raven Nevamore, RAMAJ, ITS FIESTA, Chart Toppaz Music Group and many more.
After going back-and-forth over a group name, the duo finally agreed on FERN HILL, since it represented the South End neighborhood of Tacoma they grew up in. Currently both artists boast a raw collection of solo songs and group cuts. They also have an array of projects with various artists from the Tacoma-Seattle area soon to be released through NOBODYFOXME records. Additionally, both artists have solo music available for free online with the links at the top of this page along with their group's bandcamp link.
