1. Combining resources, connections, and talent, three different theater organizations create a top notch production! A selection of plays from the Northwest Playwrights Alliance www.northwestplaywrights.org , directors from two theater groups Prodigal Sun Productions and Theater Artists Olympia (TAO) www.olytheater.com , as well as actors from all over the Puget Sound area are collaborating to present a night of one-act plays titled: An Improbable Peck of Plays. 8 p.m., $12-$18, The Midnight Sun, 113 N Columbia St., Olympia. 2. Together with Robot Pi and Ancient Warlocks, Electric Falcons will make tonight a rock fest at McCoy's in Olympia. 8 p.m., $3, 418 4th Ave. (360)352-0690.

3. The Harvest Festivals offer autumn-themed family entertainment, including bounce houses, hands-on arts and crafts, activities, games, refreshments and a CLICK! Mobile Movie: Casper, PG. Each community center will offer a slightly different aspect of traditional fall harvest activities, featuring local businesses and vendors. Plus pumpkin-decorating activities.! A new October family event series offered across the city every Friday evening in October. Families can enjoy family activities and games each Friday night in October at one of Metro Parks' four Tacoma community centers: STAR Center, Portland Avenue Community Center, Center at Norpoint and Peoples Center. 5 p.m., free. http://www.metroparkstacoma.org/

4. A favorite among National Geographic presenters, Joel Sartore's entertaining presentations blend humor with powerful conservation messages and award-winning photography of wildlife and the places they inhabit. 7:30 p.m., $9-$26, Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. S.E.(360) 753-8586.

5. Veteran musicians from legendary Tacoma Wa bands, Little Stranger, Blue Baboons(starsearch finalists), Last Chance Romeos, Voodoo Ranch, and others, decided to join forces to create their own brand of rockin' country music. Influenced by the legends that have paved the way before us, Hank, Cash, Haggard, Earle, as well as the Beatles, Stones, even the Bee Gees and Bowie.
