5 Things to Do Today: The female spirit, film series, Tacoma Pride Festival, Swing in Olympia, Elvis in the park

1. Through ritual, inspirational readings, poetry, and music, women share insights about life and the sacred during as late morning Women's Spirit Circle. Participants are invited into deeper reflection and a renewed sense of their own goodness. 2. It's Tuesday, and on Tuesdays at the Grand Cinema, it's the Tuesday Film Series. Today, the movie is Inventing Our Life: The Kibbutz Experiment (79 min, NR) Contains some Hebrew with English subtitles. Set against the backdrop of its glorious 100-year history, Inventing Our Life: The Kibbutz Experiment reveals the heartbreak and hope of Israel's modern kibbutz movement as a new generation struggles to ensure its survival. Can a radically socialist institution survive a new capitalist reality? 3. Tacoma’s LGBTQA community has organized twelve days of events, starting today, with the intent to produce and provide opportunities to learn and celebrate all groups regardless of sexual orientation, religion, disability, gender expression, color, and social/economic levels. The Rainbow Center in Tacoma, in collaboration with multiple community partners, has put together a variety of activities during these upcoming days including Pride block parties, performances, LGBTQA movie viewings, discussions on equality and faith, book readings, and more. 4. Learn to Swing dance in Olympia for free tonight.  Olympia Eagles Club Olympia offers OlySwing Swing Dance, an introductory swing class at 7 pm. All Ages. 7:30-10:30 pm. $7. 805 E 4th Ave in downtown Olympia.

5. There will be an Elvis sighting tonight in Gig Harbor at Skansie Brothers Park when Danny Vernon's Illusions Of Elvis takes the stage at 6:30 pm. The event is free. 3207 Harborview Drive, Gig Harbor.
