Patrice Bruzas grew up grew up in Washington State where she finds most of her artistic inspiration from the natural wealth of the Pacific Northwest. She translates that into spontaneous paintings, capturing the essence of the subject with a few strokes on handmade paper or silk, influenced by Oriental Sumi-e style. Her unique compositions in the Collage media, are a blending of east and west using organic materials. On her paintings she includes a chop or stamp that is the finishing touch on the painting that means "Soul Food" in Asian Calligraphy. Patrice says "That's how I feel about music & art they both have rhythm, movement and emotion that feeds the soul and I can't have one without the other." You can she how she has incorporated musical themes in some of her pieces in this show.  Tonight she whets your appetite for visual arts at Morso in Gig Hborbor from 5-7 p.m.
