The Joint Base Lewis-McChord Exchange  welcomed yet another new restaurant to its recently renovated and expanded food court.

Joint Base Command Sgt. Maj. Waylon Petty joined Exchange Region Vice President Carrie Cammel, JBLM Exchange General Manager Matthew Beatty and other Exchange leaders in cutting the ribbon on the made-to-order teriyaki and sushi restaurant on Feb. 14.

"The JBLM Exchange is continuing to expand options for our soldiers, airmen, families and members of the community," Beatty said. "We're excited to offer more convenient and healthy dining choices at the Exchange."

The opening of Sarku Japan is the latest improvement to JBLM quality of life from the Exchange. Last year, the Exchange completed a $72.6 million upgrade to its shopping complex, including added restaurants, mall stores and services, as well as a head-to-toe renovation of the facility.
