Most military homes are a reflection of the many duty stations, both in the U.S. and abroad, where the families have lived. At each new station, we add items to our home to remind us of our time at that location. With winter dragging on, it's time to start thinking about spring cleaning and sprucing up the house. Spring vintage markets are fun to look forward to -- and a great way to add that special local piece that will always remind you of your time in the Pacific Northwest. Here are a few to check out.

Josephine's Redeemed Revival is a juried show. This means that each vendor must meet strict standards to participate.

"Each vendor must send in references, what shows they have been in and photos of their display. The vendors are selected based on the goods they sell and the way they display the items they sell. The people who attend this event are not customers but our guests, and I want them to each have an amazing experience. The vendors don't just set up a table and throw on a plastic tablecloth; each one sets up a booth designed to look like its own separate store. The vendors put a lot of care and love into their booths," said Samantha Smith, founder of the revival and owner of Josephine's Redeemed Boutique. "I love hearing guests say, ‘Did you see that booth? It was so inspiring. I want to do something like that in my home.'"

In addition to vendors' booths, there are plenty of food and beverage options. Enjoy live music throughout the event. There will also be multiple rest and relax spaces to sit, eat a meal, enjoy a coffee or just catch your breath. Insider tip: For fewer crowds, visit late in the day on Friday or Saturday afternoon. Booths are continually restocked throughout the day.

A Very Vintage Market is a monthly pop-up flea market with more than 40 vendors.

"Our vendors are unique, creative and love to repurpose and revamp vintage and architectural salvage into a one-of-a-kind piece," said Angie Mordy, A Very Vintage Market.

The Primavera Spring Market is a vintage and antique market with a beautiful spring theme. It's held in a barn-turned-event-center named "Dairyland" in recognition of its heritage as an old dairy farm. The best part is that it's in Snohomish, the antique capital of the Northwest. Once you are finished with the market, head into town to explore the more than 175 local antique dealers in nearby shops.
