Outdoor: The monthly Sporting Clays shooting competition is Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Skeet and Trap Range on Lewis Main. Competition includes 100 targets across 10 different stations. Commonly nicknamed “golf with shotguns.” Registration opens at 9 a.m. and is $35 per participant. Youth free throw competition Saturday

Youth: The Knights of Columbus will host a local Free Throw Championship Saturday at Joint Base Lewis-McChord Child, Youth and School Services’ gymnasium at Parent Central Services on Lewis Main. The competition starts at 3 p.m. and will feature divisions for boys and girls ages of 9 to 14. For more information, call Greg Kaufman at 253-970-3238.

CYSS Youth soccer registration begins

Youth: Registration is open now to Jan. 20 for Joint Base Lewis-McChord children interested in playing soccer this spring. Child, Youth and School Services is offering an introductory Bumblebee Soccer program for ages 3 and 4 ($25) in addition to having regular soccer for ages 5 to 15 ($55). Commander’s Cup Bowling begins Feb. 8

Intramural: The Joint Base Lewis-McChord Intramural Sports office is hosting a representative meeting Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. at Bowl Arena Lanes for the 2017 Commander’s Cup Bowling season. The season is scheduled to begin Feb. 8 and run until the league championship April 5. Open to active duty service members attached to JBLM. For more information, visit or call 253-967-4768.

Register for Open Women’s Basketball

Intramural: Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s Intramural Sports Office is hosting an Open Women’s Basketball league that is scheduled to start Jan. 21 and run until the league tournament Feb. 25-26.
