Figure out 'whodunnit' at the Club at McChord Field

A performance in two acts

By Margaret Bicker on October 8, 2015

What could be better than a spine-tingling murder mystery? And who doesn't enjoy an expertly prepared buffet dinner? What if there were a way to solve a whodunnit while enjoying a delicious buffet dinner at the same time?

Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., the Club at McChord Field will provide the opportunity to do exactly that. The night will begin with the performance of the first two acts of a three-act murder mystery, followed by a first-class buffet dinner and the final act. As the whodunnit concludes, tables will be given an opportunity to interact with the theater troupe to figure out "who" actually "done it"! Prizes will be awarded to super sleuths able to guess the identity of the murderer correctly.

The cost for the evening is just $26, which includes entertainment and dinner. The bar will be open; there is an extra charge for beverages. Club members receive a $2 discount, but non-members are encouraged to attend.

The Club at McChord Field sponsors a variety of monthly events to build community at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, encourage club membership and have fun all at the same time, said Darcy Giovine, assistant business manager. She calls the Murder Mystery Dinner and Theater  "a really fantastic event."

The Murder Mystery Dinner and Theater is open to all, but reservations are required. To reserve a spot for your party, call 253.982.5581. Tickets may also be purchased in advance at the Club.

So put on that Sherlock Holmes' hat, grab Dr. Watson, and head for the Club at McChord Field, where the game is afoot and a fun time is waiting to be had by all.
