The challenge of Infinite Obstacles is for you to "get over yourself."
"I've seen the simplest obstacles make people question their physical strength and recognize their fears," said Staff Sgt. Kristopher Xaros as we sat in a coffee shop.
A child of the military, Xaros has served for 14 years, earning numerous decorations for his valor.
"While the company's legal structure has been formed, it is only an office in downtown Tacoma," the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) soldier told me.
Created in 2013, Infinite Obstacles, LLC, is at 1201 Pacific Ave., Suite 600, Tacoma, WA 98402.
The company is an idea that is growing into a reality.
"By the time I am finished putting this together, it will be a fully furnished 15,000 square foot facility."
He told me that Infinite Obstacles would be an indoor facility where individuals can come to work out and confront challenges they would not normally face in a regular fitness center.
"An obstacle course can be a rewarding experience."
Along with an area devoted to obstacles, Xaros envisions a juice and health food bar and smaller areas for specific workouts.
"Infinite Obstacles is about identifying challenges and then conquering whatever is holding you back from going forward," Xaros emphasized.
He also believes his business will do very well in the local economy.
Nationwide, there are only about a dozen businesses like Infinite Obstacles, and there are no businesses like it in the Pacific Northwest.
"We would be within 15 miles of Joint Base Lewis-McChord and numerous recruiting stations," explained Xaros.
"This business will be a significant help to military and civilians who want to prepare themselves physically and mentally for any challenges they may want to face."
Xaros also added that Infinite Obstacles would be the perfect place for individuals to prepare for challenges like Tough Mudders, Warrior Dashes and Adventure.
"This will be a given," he added with a smile.
He emphasized that Infinite Obstacles would be able to provide help to organizations like the Wound Warrior Project and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) with their programs and funding.
"We will have a lot to offer to those both in and out of the service," he added.
As it stands now, Xaros needs about $300,000 to make the idea a reality.
"Money comes in every week," he added. "But I am also looking for business partners.
