It has been said that all good things must come to an end. Whether you are nearing the end of your enlistment or preparing to retire after decades in the military, one of the biggest questions you will face is: What's next? Where do you go from here?

Vets2PM is here to help. Believing that military experience is ideal preparation for a civilian career as a Project Management Professional, Tim Dalhouse and Dr. Eric Wright, PhD, President and CEO, respectively, of Vets2PM, have put together a proven formula to help veterans reach their career goals.

The proven Vets2PM formula is straightforward and elegant in its simplicity: Experience + Education + Credentials + Preparation = a hired Project Management Professional. Vets2PM is there to help every step of the way with a highly trained staff that brings a breadth of business experience to the program as well as a high level of commitment to your success.

The program begins with a free initial evaluation to determine whether a veteran has the necessary experience to become a civilian Project Management Professional. This is a no obligation evaluation to help you discover whether or not this program is right for you. When you understand that Project Management is basically seeing a mission through from beginning to end, it becomes apparent that military experience may be the ideal preparation for a Project Management Professional.

Following your evaluation, the team at Vets2PM will show you how your individual experience in the military has prepared you for this particular civilian career field. They will help you translate military speak into civilian business language and help you draw parallels between your experience in the Armed Forces and the kind of experience that hiring managers are looking for.

Then you will begin the educational process, where highly trained vets-turned-business-professionals will prepare you for the Certified Associate in Project Management exam or the Project Management Professional exam. The cost of the program includes a significant discount on the exam and a one-year membership in the Project Management Institute.

Once you've passed your exam, Vets2PM helps you prepare to compete in the civilian job market. Their professional resumé coach helps you put together a resumé that will grab a prospective employer's attention and increase the likelihood of an interview. The interview skills workshop will see to it that, once you get that interview, you will know what to do and say and how to represent yourself as a professional.

Once you complete the program, Vets2PM continues to support you with job placement assistance and one additional year of training and coaching included at no extra charge.

Vets2PM offers two different programs to help you reach your goals. Their three-week online webinar course lets you virtually participate in the program from almost anywhere in the world. If you're in a hurry, they also offer a five-day onsite course at various locations, including Tacoma.  These intensive "Boot Camps" will prepare you to transition from your military experience to a Project Management Professional in just five days.  The upcoming Tacoma "Boot Camp" is scheduled for April 11-15. For more information on either of these programs, contact Vets2PM at 1.888.551.4251 ext. 5. Or visit www.vets2pm.com to discover if this program is right for you.
