Free 'Frozen' party for military kids

As the holiday season gets into full gear, The Ranger and NW Airlifter newspapers with main sponsor Grand Canyon University present two free, special Saturdays to honor local military kids, grandkids, and their families. These events are open to active, reserve, retired and all veterans.

The first is Saturday, Dec. 3 at Lifepoint Church in Bremerton, an easy drive to the Naval Kitsap area. All military and veterans are welcome to attend a Holiday Frozen Party during an open house of games, crafts and fun. Kids can sing along to Disney's Frozen songs and dance with Anna and Elsa, make an ornament and other crafts, help Olaf find his missing nose, and make a reindeer mask with Kristoff. In addition, other sponsors will offer a free hot cocoa station, ornament making, Branyactz Nerf Activity, Lifepoint kids art activity. Special guest Santa will attend, as well as your favorite characters from Star Wars.

Following Saturday's event, on Dec. 10 at Capital Christian Center in Lacey, is another holiday party, this time your favorite holiday friends from The Grinch, Frosty and Jack Frost will be in Lacey.

There will be games and crafts plus each family will receive a free "car-load" ticket to Fantasy Lights in Spanaway. 

Dec. 10 will include an opportunity to meet the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who, make a snow globe and other crafts, take pictures in a Grinch setup, design a Jack Frost magic staff, and design your own snowman with Frosty. Plus other sponsors will offer free holiday haircuts for the kids, a free hot cocoa station, crafts and more.
