FREE Salute to Military Spouses Party

By Claire Nunn on March 31, 2023

Once again, Northwest Military publishers of The Ranger and NW Airlifter newspapers, along with participating local businesses, bring you another free military event. Join us for our Salute to Military Spouses Party, sponsored by Chris Sayre from OriginPoint and Grand Canyon University. Taking place Saturday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, this event will be all about honoring military spouses and their sacrifices. If you enjoyed our recent Salute to Military Couples Night at LeMay America's Car Museum, then you will enjoy this event too.

This open house-style event allows spouses to arrive anytime over the three-hour period and participate in as many activities as desired. Our goal is for every military spouse to return home feeling like their sacrifices don't go unnoticed by the South Sound community.

Free onsite services include:

In addition, we're excited to offer the opportunity to play a game of The Price is Right - Commissary Edition. So, study up on the prices at the Commissary leading up to the event, because there will be some great prizes to win.

Bingo games will run throughout the entire day. Grab a playing card and sit down for a chance to score some great prizes.

Both games will be the perfect opportunity for spouses to mix, mingle and meet other military spouses, while enjoying fun competition.

"A number of local businesses are joining the day too, bringing fun giveaways and prizes for local military spouses," said Ken Swarner, publisher of The Ranger and NW Airlifter. "We all are passionate about showing local military spouses that the community understands their hardships - we want to say thank you by giving them a day all about them!
