The Weekly Volcano has been known to have an opinion or two about local drinking, dining, and entertainment. Some of us have even become self-declared "foodies". As much as we'd like to think we know it all, there are some things about food we still have yet to find expertise. For instance, I'd still like to find the best bowl of mac ‘n' cheese in town.  But with the ever-impending mac ‘n' cheese food coma, I have yet to find a sidekick willing to give me food-CPR. 

Still having so much to discover about good grub and libations, it's hard to map out where to start and who to learn from.  You say you're a foodie, but where do you go to be with some of your own?

Insert foodie solution: Nosh League.

Gathering the second Tuesday of every month at various dining establishments, the Weekly Volcano Nosh League introduces food and drink to those looking to expand their food repertoire.  Typically a Nosh League event costs $15 and includes samples of food and drink from varying themes.

Over the last six months Nosh Leaguers have been educated about sake, cheeses, beers, whiskey, rum, tequila, and sushi.  These educational sessions don't come without plenty of tastings, samples, and raffle drawings.  Just last month Stonegate Pizza in Tacoma gave away a pizza party with a limo ride!
