Some people may never make it to Paris, or London, or even New York City, or Dallas during fashion week, to see the original designs made by top fashion designers from around the world.
Even fewer people will own a Prada gown, Jimmy Choo shoes, or a Marc Jacobs handbag.
However, you can own original or Northwest made designs without traveling to the fashion capitals of the world.
In the Pacific Northwest there are numerous designers who offer clothing and accessories that are made locally and sold. On top of that, many of the stores at which these original designs are sold are family owned and operated.

Ray Troll T-shirts

Ray Troll was an Air Force brat who grew up in 11 different places. An artist by trade, he has designed attire that includes hooded sweatshirts, to aprons to t-shirts. Although he resides in Alaska, his t-shirts are sold throughout the Washington area including the 6th Avenue and Proctor Avenue shops in Tacoma. Some of Troll's most popular t-shirts include the famous BASSACKWARDS shirt that features bass; Blues in the Key of Sea which depicts a guitar-playing fish; Cowasockeye a t-shirt which features a cow with a sockeye on top of it, with both on top of a motorcycle; and the most popular t-shirt the Da Vinci Cod, which depicts Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa holding a cod.

There are several Tsimshian artists who sell their clothing accessories in the area. The items sold are unique and include only original designs made by artists who are known throughout the country.
