Constructed with 1.6 million board feet, and 24,541,382 cubic feet of concrete the Tacoma Dome is one of the world's largest wood domed structures in the world.

At 530 feet in diameter and 152 feet tall, the dome arena and exhibition hall is used for everything from WIAA high school sports, family shows, tradeshows, and major concerts.

About 1 million people attend concerts such as AC/DC, The Police, the Scorpions, and Motley Crue, at the dome.

However, the dome is just one of several concert venues within a fifty mile radius.  There are venues for about any type of music - jazz, rock, pop, hip-hop, country and classical music.  The concert venues range from arenas, concert halls, theaters, auditoriums, night clubs and casinos.
