Holidays and PCS season often find lodging at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) with no room at the inn. Whether you like your lodging brand new or historic, there are options just outside the gates of JBLM.

DuPont offers newer lodging and is close to restaurants and shops. Two hotels are located in the DuPont Station area just across Interstate 5 from the DuPont Gate, and a hotel sits right in DuPont city center.

The Home2 Suites by Hilton in DuPont is the newest hotel in the area. The ultra-modern hotel is filled with brightly colored décor. It offers suites with full kitchens, which is nice for longer stays. Amenities include a pool, fitness center and breakfast.  Hilton offers special military family rates, so make sure to ask.

The Hampton Inn and Suites is also a nice option with clean modern rooms, daily breakfast and an indoor pool kids will love. It is right across from DuPont Station, which has a restaurant and Starbucks. The Hampton Inn also offers military rates.

Located in the DuPont City Center is the Best Western Liberty Inn. It's a very nice hotel located within walking distance to restaurants, shops and a library.  Room rates include a full hot breakfast as well as pool and Jacuzzi.  In addition to regular rooms, the hotel offers 10 specialty suites in a variety of floorplans, some with a fireplace and Jacuzzi.

For a more luxurious stay, consider lodging at Thornewood Castle. This beautiful historic home is now a bed and breakfast with luxurious rooms, but less well known is its vacation rental. This lovely two-bedroom apartment has two bedrooms and two baths as well as a full kitchen.  It sleeps six.
