The Hands On Children's Museum in Olympia offers a spring Homeschool Workshop Series focusing on art and science. They are offering a four session series beginning April 13th and running through May 4th . The workshops are designed for student 6-10 years old, will run for two hours from 1:30 - 3:30 pm, and are offered once a week on Fridays.
The workshops are designed to get children actively involved in learning science and art concepts. Students will be using their inquiry and critical thinking skills to solve problems. They will participate in hands on science projects that demonstrate concepts such as: persistence of vision, positive and negative electrons and static electricity, elements needed to maintain a health habitat, as well as pneumatics and aerodynamics in rocketry. Animation, scratch drawings, color mixing and symmetry will be explored in the art projects included in the workshops.
