We're practically counting down the hours until Super Bowl Sunday, but not for the obvious reasons of gorging on bowls of clam dip and getting pie-eyed on craft beer. Nope, we love Super Bowl Sunday because while folks are cloistered away screaming at their TV sets beginning at sunrise, the city is the Weekly Volcano's oyster. So instead of watching a bunch of former galumphing dudes in oversize suits preview the game for 12 hours, we raise Cain all around the South Sound before the big game, specifically the Pearl Django concert at the Museum of Glass. Pulling inspiration from the legendary jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt, Pearl Django has a signature Hot Club style marked by the band's expert string work, steady pulse of rhythm guitar and unmistakable swing that reaches out to audiences of all musical sensibilities.?? Score!

SUNDAY MUSIC AT MOG WITH PEARL DJANGO, 11 a.m., Museum of Glass, 1801 Dock St., Tacoma, $18, which includes all-day Museum access, 253.284.2130
