Lakewood Playhouse

Prepare yourselves for fun, as America's favorite form of comedy comes to its new permanent home at the Lakewood Playhouse. That's right, I'm talking about improv. From Second City to the Groundlings to Who's Line Is It Anyway to, uhhh ... did I mention the Groundlings? America has come to love improv like nobody's business. Friday is the first show from Muh Grog Zoo, a four-man improv group that creates an improvised one-act play, starting only with a single word from the audience. With a set up like that, there was only one name they could've given their show: Improv-A-Go-Go (well, "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" was taken). Though they are only scheduled for a handful of appearances through out the next three months, they promise more dates will be added. If you hear the word "callipygian" shouted from the back row, know Kephart is in the house and the one-act to follow should be interesting.

MUH GROG ZOO, 9:45 p.m., Lakewood Playhouse, 5729 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd., Lakewood, $8-$10, 253.588.0042
