When I was a kid, I used to love having a story read to me. Lolita Curious George was one of my favorites. But then, when I grew up, nobody wanted to read to me! Not my parents, not my grandparents and certainly not Santa, who found it odd I wanted to sit on his lap and have a story read. You're too old," my family said. "You're creepy," said Santa. Whatever. I found someone who will read to me. The Olympia Timberland Regional Library hostsListen Here: A Lunch Break Story Time for Adults Friday, Jan. 3. Corey Snow, a professional audiobook narrator and voice actor, will read two short story selections: The White Silence by Jack London, and Saki's The Music on the Hill. I'm disappointed Snow is not instead reading Saki's The Open Window, which is really good. The program will continue through March 2014. Bring your imagination. I'll let you know if Snow lets me sit on his lap.
