Halloween terrifies you every year. You cower behind darkened doors, hoping the pint-size ghosts and goblins don't invade when they discover that you're keeping the candy for yourself. Time for a change of tradition. This year, introduce mini-monsters to the Mexican practice of Dia de Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead). Descending from an ancient Aztec ritual, the festivities honor departed family members while celebrating the continuing cycle of life. Kiddies (and the young at heart) will dig the Sixth Avenue Business District's Day of the Dead procession, a night of parades, altar ceremonies, music, words and a party. Don't be caught dead missing it.
