Saturday, Aug. 3: Proctor Arts Festival

Proctor District

By Volcano Staff on July 28, 2013

As if it were pre-planned by some city official, Proctor District has just about everything locals need to maintain their busy, manicured lifestyles within a four-block radius. The neighborhood has a lot to offer the casual shopper on a normal day, but during the Proctor Arts Festival, a stroll down Proctor Street offers even more food, art, music and entertainment for the whole family - including the family dog - all without ever having to ever step out of the sunlight. Now in its 17th year, the latest installment of the annual festival will feature sidewalk sales, a juried art show, dog fashion show, Proctor Farmers Market, more than 140 arts vendors, live music and family fun galore.

PROCTOR ARTS FEST, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 26th and Proctor, Tacoma, free admission, proctorartsfest.com
