After a movie, most audiences pour our into the blinding sunlight only to eventually refocus on a gray parking lot, maybe the backside of a Dairy Queen and probably three ratty looking shrubs with Good & Plenty boxes wedged in their branches. Pop out of the Rainier Independent Film Festival this weekend and you'll be greeted with trees, chirping birds, squirrels running amok and an enormous mountain nearby. Yup, three days of workshops, parties and films will be screened in the shadow of Mount Rainier when the seventh annual festival consumes the Ashford Valley. The screenings will be held in an authentic circular yurt, an elementary school built in the 1920s and the prestigious Nisqually Lodge - with all projection shown in the latest digital technology. Suck it Cineplex Odeon.
