Last year Broken Water released an album that pushed the band further into the limelight than any of the its previous, amazing releases. Most bands would relish that moment and memory as a triumph, however with the unfortunate timing of a looming line-up shift on the horizon Broken Water was unable to fully tour in the immediate aftermath of Tempest's critical success. It is only now, just under a year or so later, that the band has attempted to circle the entire continent in celebration of its achievement. With a new bass player, the band is back on the road, and if its recent set at Le Voyeur was any indication, it will be blowing the minds of fans across North America once again.

Sharing part of the journey is Vancouver, B.C. loud, aggressive dissonant punk trio Nu Sensae.

Both bands mine the same sort of post-hardcore vibes as Sonic Youth did. That said, Broken Water and Nu Sensae are unique in their own right, and make a perfect pairing. They bring their tandem assault to Northern Monday.
