PESTICIDES: Worth talking about.

So you walk through the grocery store, and you look at the big, shiny red apples, and you feel hungry. Then you notice just how big and red and shiny they all are. You get all suspicious and start remembering things about pesticides and growing seasons, and all of a sudden, everything in the produce section just seems wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Or at least a little unnatural.  So you hook up with the Weekly Volcano for your dose of leftism and you see this announcement for the 22nd Annual Rachel Carson Forum. You see a panel - Janette Brimmer, Dr. Steven Herman, Ciscoe Morris, Dr. Marion Moses, Dr. John Perkins, Dr. Steve Herman - will discuss the "Interdisciplinary Panel on the Social, Political, and Ecological Implications Of Pesticide Use In Our Society Today." And you go.
