Through Dec. 3: "Study #1 Backyard"

Fulcrum Gallery

Thursday, one of Tacoma's favorite artists, Lisa Kinoshita, celebrates the opening of Study #1 Backyard at Fulcrum Gallery. A collection of new works by Kinoshita scheduled to be on display through Dec. 3, Study #1 Backyard relies heavily on caribou heads. No seriously. Check the hype: "Lisa Kinoshita takes us on a journey through a surreal, liminal zone, where wild nature collides with suburbia. Using Caribou as her muse these dreamlike environments allow full, warm intimate access to creatures from the wild. Their stillness punctuated only by tiny microscopic shudders. At any moment they would unexpectedly turn their heads and return your gaze."
