Thursday, April 1: Olympia Farmers Market

Capitol Way and Market Street

By Volcano Staff on April 1, 2010

The Olympia Farmers Market starts today and is destined to make Thursday through Sunday mornings a lot sweeter. But fresh fruit isn't all you'll encounter. The market is all about supporting local growers and producers. In addition to the popular gourd birdhouses and handmade soaps available, look for locally processed specialty cheeses, shellfish, Curry in a Hurry, baked goods and a million honey products. Bonus: they're accepting food stamps this year.

[Through October 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday-Sunday, Capitol Way and Market Street, Olympia, 360.352.9096]
