Tuesday, Feb. 23: Robin Ryan

By Matt Driscoll on February 18, 2010

So, you need a job. You've probably already realized you're not alone. Tuesday at the Tacoma Public Library, Robin Ryan, described as "one of the nation's leading career coaches," will offer several workshops designed to help you "develop and polish" your "job seeking skills." Chances are, after all, during the course of your unemployment you've already mastered your "beer drinking skills" and your "penny pinching skills," so it might be nice to branch out. Ryan's workshops will include techniques on resume writing, nailing the interview and getting hired after the age of 40. Go to www.tpl.lib.wa.us for more info.

PREDICTION:  Ryan's day full of workshops will run alongside the usual workshop held every day just outside Tacoma Public Library doors - "Tips for bumming cigarettes." Both will be beneficial.
