Thursday, Jan. 21: America In Solidarity

King's Books

By Matt Driscoll on January 20, 2010

Every third Thursday America in Solidarity presents a speaker or panel to discuss, what the organization calls, "an issue relevant to working families in Pierce County." This Thursday at King's Books writer and playwright Carla Seaquist will be in town, taking a break from her gig as a regular Huffington Post blogger, to host a discussion about the first 365 days of the Obama Administration. What was accomplished? What was botched? Do we still have Hope? Seaquist will delve into all of it.

According to the King's Web site, "America In Solidarity is a grassroots effort of working Americans to focus our country's politics and economics on the necessity of job security, workplace safety, health care, wages and protection of the American worker from the Homeland threat of corporate greed."

Help battle the aforementioned greed tonight at King's.
