- Enjoy an evening filled with glass and make works of art to celebrate Chihuly: Gifts from the Artist and The Marioni Family: Radical Experimentation in Glass and Jewelry. Watch a film about how glass art is made and enjoy some popcorn. As part of downtown Tacoma's Artwalk every Third Thursday, Tacoma Art Museum offers free admission, extended hours of 5-8 p., and special programming. Events are always free on Third Thursday and are regularly a collaborative effort with local artists and organizations. These programs provide an accessible and educational experience for non-traditional museum visitors. Programming and museum admission from 5-8 p.m. are free as part of Free Third Thursday and downtown Tacoma’s Artwalk.
