WE DROPPED IN ON LATIN NIGHT >>>
Vanity, the new club to take over the former warehouse turned night spot near the corner of South Tacoma Way and 56th Street, was hopping Saturday night. DJ Mauro has found a new home for his Saturday Latin Night, which spews salsa and Mexi-pop dance music to above-average dancers. The mixed age and ethnic crowd was a constant flow of dancing and chatting over wells and fries. The VIP ($10 bracelets buys access and $5 drinks all night) balcony was empty, largely because the dance floor was full.

It was fabulous - Ain't no party like a Brown Edition party!
Went to this bar thanks to this review...You forgot to mention that without a killer band...

I think this business is doomed for failure. Its a great building and location, but where is the website? What are the hours? Why is it when I stopped by on a Friday evening the beer signs were lit but the door was locked and no hours were posted at the main entrance?? Why even bother with yet another nightclub here?
I'd really like to see The Harmon take over this space for a South Tacoma brewpub. Good food + good beer + happy hour... I think they'd do terrific business there!

I went to Vanity on Fri. and Sun. and It wasn't a great experience. The DJ kept messing up and security is really rude. We ordered a pizza that smelled like poo and it stunk up the whole club. The cheese was way too strong. That is the last time I go there. It probably is not going to last like the Old Brick Yard, Factory, or Station 56 all within the last 5 years.

I think this place was opened as a drug front.

I think this club will be alright if they cater to a little more Latin and they make the R & B more upscale. In other words tighten up the dress-code. All in all I enjoyed the Latin nights.

Been there twice and was disappointed. Both times went on Latin night but all they did was play R&B music. The DJ kept messing up on the music and played old stuff.
It also took very long to get our drinks and they were watered down. All in all I wont ever go back there again.
