3 Drink Minimum: The Social

Finally, drinks on the patio

Psychopathic Pacific Northwest weather leads to a psychopathic Steph DeRosa.  Teamed up with a subdued, yet just as psychopathic Bandito Betty, leads to nothing but psychopathic trouble.

Psychopathic weather: One day it's sunny, the next it's rainy. One day it's hotter than the crease under a Southern Belle's bosom, the next it's time to dust off your black hoodie and rain boots.

Mother Nature needs some Xanax, to say the least.

Alas, when the sky finally finds its sunny, happy place, Bandito Betty and I find a local waterfront deck and partake in a non-psychopathic Three Drink Minimum.

Hidden behind a building on Dock Street in Tacoma, next to The Museum of Glass, The Social Bar & Grill is a masterpiece of outdoor dining.  SBG's deck is perfectly full of both sun and shade, with a peaceful view of the marina, water and the Museum of Glass' floating sculptures.

Multiple outdoor fire tables only add to the ambiance of what I can only see as hours and hours of time spent with sun, fun and lots and lots of drinks.

First Drink: Bartender's Choice - SBG Manhattan

In true Mad Men fashion, it was only appropriate we sipped a Manhattan during lunch.  The only difference between this Manhattan and the others is that it was the best damn Manhattan we have ever had.

Made with a ginger infused sweet & sour, what also put this drink over the top was the delicious maraschino cherry found at the bottom of the glass that had been soaked for two years in some sort of liquor and imported from Italy.

Second Drink: Most Popular - Around The World

Gin, agave nectar, St. Germain (elderflower liquor) and pomegranate make up this refreshing drink that reminded me of Yankee Candles.  I think it was the shape of the glass, pink hue and elderflower flavor.

Regardless, it was tasty and If SBG ever sold candles, I would totally buy them.

Third Drink: My Choice - Red Sangria

Made with blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and merlot, this traditional sangria felt refreshing as the sun pierced our faces and a midday buzz filled our souls.

At $10 a glass, you can enjoy the drink anytime you want, but come happy hour you and your friends can enjoy an entire pitcher of sangria for only $10.

But then again, why share the pitcher?  I wouldn't.
