3 Drink Minimum: Tacos Guaymas

T is for the tasty turmoil of saliva-inducing spices.  A is for authentic flavors that warm my belly.  C is for comfort food, and O is for the tiny onions found atop of every delicious bite.  S, my dear friends, is for the stop I make every time I pass by a Tacos Guaymas.

Now leading a very hectic life, seducing Jenny fab away from her job duties in exchange for a lady-lunch was something that could only be done with street tacos and buttery, rich guacamole.  So I picked her happy ass up and we headed out to Tacos Guaymas on 72nd and Portland Avenue in Tacoma.

Why this particular location over the ever-so-popular South 38th Street location?  Two words: FULL BAR.

Although my dear Jenny Fab used to booze it up as the infamous Weekly Volcano scribe known as Ginger Knoxx, she no longer partakes in such wild libations.  This time, Three Drink Minimum was all on me.  No Bandito Betty, Melanie Rushforth, Liesl Diesl or Pappi Swarner to help me out this time.

Just my girl Jenny Fab and me.  ‘Twas amazing.

First Drink: Bartender's Choice - Margarita

Did I mention this location had a full bar?  No joke, bartender / taco peddler Maribell hooked me up with a heaping pour of tequila into a giant goblet glass that resembled what I imagine King Kong would take his Eucharist from on Sunday mornings.  This is ironic because as she handed me the two-handed glass I began to pray for my life.

Second Drink: Most Popular - Margarita

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!  Tears came to my eyes, and it wasn't because of the all-you-can-eat pickled jalapeños at the condiment bar.

Third Drink: My Choice - Dos Equis XX draft

Three dollar tap beer and seven dollar pitchers.  Really?  For Dos Equis?  Even sober Jenny Fab was impressed.  I mean, let's face it, there was no way I was going to drop a load of cash on something that didn't have at least one X in it's name. I do have standards (mostly).

But with Dos Equis there are two X's, and in Spanish nonetheless!  You have to know, that with this, they must mean business.   After all, the most interesting man in the world drinks Dos Equis, right?  I have yet to meet even a somewhat interesting man who drinks PBR, so I suppose I'll have to believe the Dos Equis hype.
