Mondays: Metal Mondays

The New Frontier Lounge

You the know the kind of metal that fuels bands to rock out in some sort of industrial plant with sparks flying everywhere, rubbing bare shoulders and admiring one another's golden long locks and perfectly ripped jeans?

That's not Metal Mondays at The New Frontier Lounge.

No, for the last few months patrons haven't been rocking out to Keel through a Bose Acoustic Wave, but rather The Love Below, Wolves in the Throne Room and Bloodhunger on stage - or sharing Celtic Cross, Killing Joke, Tool, Rammstein and Lamb of God on their iPods - while tossing back $1.50 PBRs and $5 boilermakers.

Just to make the night weird, cult films such as Funny Man show on the giant pull-down screen ... which is way better than watching a video of Krokus Live at the Barnes & Noble in Grand Rapids.
