TACOMA CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL

There’ll be lots of Grit City representation at the Tacoma Craft Beer Festival, which takes place Saturday, Oct. 3 from noon to 9 p.m. at the Foss Waterway Seaport building in Tacoma. Engine House No. 9, The Harmon Brewery and The Ram’s Big Horn Brewing Co. will all be on hand. Rumor has it that the Harmon may be busting out a new lager. Of the 43 brewers set to attend the festival, many will be offering first tappings of specialty beers that don’t usually come to the Tacoma market. Tickets are $18 pre-sale online at tacomacraftbeerfest.com, or $20 at the door. It’s only $15 for military. The Seaport building is at 705 Dock St.

FALL ART AND WINE WALK

Puyallup’s annual Fall Art and Wine Walk will take place in the public art infested downtown historic district Saturday, Oct. 3 from 3-7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for eight one-ounce wine tastes. The theme this year is "Come Together," taken from a Beatles-inspired piece of art by Jack Widman, vice principal at Kalles Junior High in Puyallup. TEA CEREMONY

A Korean Tea Ceremony will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. inside the Fircrest Community Center at 555 Contra Costa. The cost is $10. Reservations can be made at 253.238.4160.

OKTOBERFEST NORTHWEST

Authentic German grub and grog plus oompah bands, maypole dancing, wiener dog races and more, will be held Oct. 9 11 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., Oct. 10 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Oct. 11 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Puyallup Fair and Events Center, 110 Ninth Ave. S.W. in Puyallup. SUNDAY STIRRINGS

The Bayview School of Cooking in Olympia offers a mini cooking class on “Pumpkin Perfection” Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. Pumpkin partnered with bread pudding and whiskey caramel sauce and breakfast walnut pancakes. The class is $25. Reservations are required at 360754.1448.

LADIES NIGHT
