BENEFIT

A wine tasting to benefit the Fred Oldfield Western Heritage & Art Center featuring 12 Washington wineries will be held Saturday, May 9 beginning at noon, at the Heritage & Art Center on the north side of the Puyallup Fairgrounds. TEA CEREMONY

The Asian Pacific Cultural Center hosts Asian tea ceremonies to calm your stressed self down. The next one — a Chinese Tea Ceremony — is Saturday, May 9 at the Fircrest Community Center beginning at 7 p.m. The cost is $10. Reserve your space at 253.226.2742.

FRIDAYS UNCORKED

The Bayview School of Cooking offers a blind wine tasting Friday, May 15 from 5-7:30 p.m. Five wines will be tasted. Come and go as you like. The cost is $12 per person, which includes cheeses. The tasting will be in the BCS demo kitchen on the second floor of Bayview Thriftway, 516 W. Fourth Ave. in downtown Olympia. For more information, call 360.754.1448.

COCKTAIL 101

El Gaucho Tacoma presents its next cocktail class Friday, May 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Since it’s spring, the fine dining restaurant will concentrate on Cosmopolitans, Lemon Drops and Kamikazes. You’ll have to concentrate on walking. The cost is $40 per person. Reserve your space at 253.272.1510.

PRIMO GRILL

A Spring Dinner In Tuscany cooking class will be held May 16 from 2-4 p.m. The $65 fee includes recipes, instruction, lunch, glass of wine, tax and gratuity. Reserve your space at 253.383.7000.

WINO WEDNESDAY

The Red Hot pours wine for $3 a glass every Wednesday. Check it out at 2914 Sixth Ave. in Tacoma.
