There are too many good shows to highlight just one, so here is a roundup of the solid shows that are in the works at a stage near you.

One of the tried and true shows to watch is A Grand Night for Singing, a show at Capital Playhouse running until Feb. 20. This show is a Rodgers and Hammerstein revue that includes some of the best music and lyrics the duo has to offer, including tunes from Oklahoma!, South Pacific, Cinderella and State Fair. The show is toe-tapping and all that light musical theater has to offer, making it a perfect show for the gray, overcast winters of the Pacific Northwest. The cast consists of Capital Playhouse regulars Jerod Nace, Adam Randolph, Erica Penn, and Deanna Barrett as well as New York talent Megan Rozak.

Tacoma Musical Playhouse is staging Glorious!, the story about Florence Foster Jenkins, the worst singer in the world. The show has great, lighthearted numbers straight from TMP as it tells the story of an eccentric socialite who finds herself packing concert houses despite the fact that she has one of the worst singing voices in the history of music.

Fuddy Meers is the latest comedy on the boards at Prodigal Sun Productions. It represents a day in the life of an unusual amnesiac, Claire, who finds herself without a past when she falls asleep. Every time she wakes up she is reintroduced to a bizarre cast of characters, some of whom claim to be her family. Fuddy Meers is an unpredictable, hilarious ride through the craziest depths of American family life and the human mind.

This David Lindsay-Abaire show stars Kathy Kluska as Claire and Chris Cantrell as Millet, Linza Cook as M. Kuroko, Ryan Cullitan as Kenny, Julia McAlee as F. Kuroko, Tom Sanders as Richard, Amanda Stevens as Heidi, Malcolm Sturdevant as Limping Man, and Bonnie Vandver as Gertie.
