Telemark skiing makes a comeback

By Suzy Stump on October 9, 2008

The original telemark pioneers damn near strapped entire tree trunks to their feet, doggedly steering them like great monoliths across entire mountain ranges. Back then, men were men, and people had to ski uphill, both ways, in the snow. And they were grateful. Today, telemark skiing is making a comeback as athletes push the old techniques aside and trick it up a bit. I wooden miss it.
