If there’s a perfect stereotype to scare away unwanted predators, it’s going to be a biker. “Breaking the chain, Healing the wounds” is the motto sung loud and true for our local Biker’s Against Child Abuse (BACA) chapter. Leather clad riders from the Puget Sound area and all over Washington have come together and rallied around families who fall victim to child abuse.

Saturday, men and women will dismount their steel horses and bring out the fun in fund-raising in this year’s BACA Bash. It will be a perfect day to bring out the family, bid on some kickass silent auction items, and have a ball that I hear involves plenty of good times and leather bound accessories.

Cut a rug to the talented reverberation of local bands such as Atomic Outlaw, Uppercrust, and The Outfit. There’s a ton of stuff for kids to do including a bike rodeo, Guitar Hero competition, train rides, and even soaking a fully uniformed police officer in a dunk tank.

All monies raised go directly to families and children in need — BACA is 100 percent volunteer-run.
