Shirts, tanks and sweaters have progressively gotten longer and longer over the past few years. This trend has made it difficult to find pants that won’t cause the bottom of the shirt to bunch up, making your lower stomach look like a giant round bulge. For 21-year-old Geraldine Picardol, studying to be a teacher at Pacific Lutheran University, long shirts and sweaters are welcomed. Picardol knows that by layering almost anything with a pair of great tights or leggings it becomes instantly low-key and chic.
She was caught outside the University Place Starbucks drinking a cinnamon dolche latte, (her favorite drink) in a gray wide mouthed turtleneck that hit right at mid-thigh done by Hazel and purchased at Cake. Her leggings from Hollister go nicely with her turtleneck and make this look conservative enough for her to wear in her aspiring field of teaching. Her flat white sandals from Macy’s pull from the creamy colors in her sweater and complete her outfit. She gets her hair done at the Ritz Salon on Bridgeport and pulls it into a low ponytail with her bangs swept to the side. She wears minimal jewelry to not overpower the sweater and to accent her laid-back vibe.
Picardol rocks the long shirt trend and looks collected and confident while doing it. — Alexandra DeLong
