Bob’s the word

Chatting with JB at Angelo Mendi

By Jessica Corey-Butler on May 10, 2007

So there we were at Masa, and we saw this amazingly fabulous haircut.  Just prior to that trip, there we were with a group of girlfriends, and we saw this amazingly similar, amazingly fabulous haircut.  And there I was, home alone watching Shear Genius (a guilty secret pleasure, shhhhh, don’t tell anyone) and I saw it again.

The Bob.

Yep, even after the world went shag-and-seventies Farrah Fawcett flip glam, the bob is around, and gaining spring-into-summer-cut momentum.

Heather, our server at Masa who sported the cut as crafted by JB at Angelo Mendi, has had long hair “forever” and showed us her then hair in an old business card, alongside the now.  Our single word response: “Wow!”

Just because her A-line bob won’t go up in a full pony, she says don’t discredit it as a summer cut — it can go up into a half pony, back in a headband, or swing happily at her neck, a cool change from before.

Hmmm.  Could I live without a pony? It bears deliberation.
