So you thought, after your senior prom, that you’d never have a chance to don your fanciest clothes again.
Well, I’m happy to say you thought wrong.
Go now and buy yourself a beautiful dress or a French-cuff shirt (go ahead and rent a tux, if you must) so that you can strut your stuff at The Night Tacoma Danced 2007.
This “European Cabaret: Where Dreams and Reality Converge” event, happening on Sunday, March 3, at 7 p.m. at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center will cost $175 for the “Ruby” package (reserved seating, cocktail hour, three-course dinner and entertainment). Purchase tickets online at www.tacomaartmuseum.org or call 253.272.4258 extension 5000. Proceeds benefit the Tacoma Art Museum.
Then keep that frock or tux handy for the RAGS Gala happening on Thursday, March 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma in Fife. Tickets for the gala are $70 apiece. However, the sale on Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is free. This event, showcasing wearable art and artists, benefits the YWCA’s domestic violence prevention and intervention programs.
