Christine to the stars

The third day after Christine of Avanti Spas had cut and styled my hair, I finally washed it.  It made me sad to do so, just as it had alarmed me when she brandished the razor to start layering my hair.  But she cut and styled me in such a kicky-cute fashion that I could see why her clients in other states came in weekly for a wash-and-style.

Since returning to Tacoma after 9 years away — spending time in New York learning her trade; in Houston, Texas, cutting, and then working on the Paul Mitchell team, styling Houston society glitterati; and traveling the world with the Paul Mitchell styling team — Christine has noted the difference between Texan clients and Washingtonian clients.

Namely, we’re lower maintenance, and we have thicker hair.  I’m thinking I’d like to be high maintenance, if only to have my recent fab hair all the time.

Recently, Christine’s clientele list might possibly have included a baseball-team-owning type, the former husband of a woman whose name might rhyme with Messica Mimpson.

It’s possible, while Christine was doing his makeup, that this showbiz type was showbiz friendly.

And his bodyguards and assorted entourage?  I have it on good authority that they were really nice.
